24th - 27th May 2010

This week, we came in on Monday and captured more footage on the edit suites.
We also received task 4 of freelance unit. I carried on with pre-production and organizing my folder for the FMP work.
On Tuesday, myself and Kate came into college, to film and edit, but due to personal circumstances, Kate went home, and i stayed to complete paper work and Freelance. I managed to complete the freelance work and handed it in. I wanted to take out a camera, but as media tech was closed, this wasn't possible, which made me very angry.
On Wednesday, i came in to get a camera out to film and complete the script for the voice overs. Unfortunatley, media tech kept opening and closing, and there was no lecturers around to help or sign forms, so myself and Nicole took out cameras overnight, as we had no one around to help us with the equipment or forms. Nicole went and re-filmed birmingham as we had a faulty tape and i went into redditch in hope for filming, but was again, unsuccessful.
On Thursday, i selected the tracks for the soundtrack of the documentary, although i didn't know what kinds of sound was needed, due to lack of editing. As the day went on, more capturing and editing went on so that i could pick tracks that would suit the documentary.
The graphics are still in process and as are the voice overs. These will be completed later on in the afternoon.

  1. You have described and made evaluative comments on our own work. You have given evidence that you have considered the processes involved. You have explained what some of the features of production are (e.g. storyboards, treatments, etc), but have not critically evaluated your own. Your blog often falls into merely describing a list of events rather than analysing the effectiveness of your work and putting in relation to the professional environment. You have responded to the feedback of the panel regarding your first attempt at pitching your idea.
You have managed your role with a clear sense of procedure, despite losing a team member and the occasional lapse in team organisation. You have demonstrated competent organisational skills and have provided focus and direction to the others in your group.
